Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
We will pick you up from your accommodation of choice at 7.00am then head western of the country. The drive will take us about 5 to 6hrs to kibale forest national park. This is called the primate capital of the world due to being the only forest with 13 primates in the whole world. We arrive in the afternoon to the lodge, then relax have dinner then overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi swamp walk
Early morning have breakfast then head to the forest, have a briefing and then with a ranger guide you go tracking for the famous Chimpanzees, these are the closest apes to human beings as we share 98.7 DNA. This tracking takes 3 to 4 hrs. When you return head to the lodge for lunch then head to the Bigodi swamp walk, takes about 2hrs walk. In this swamp there is a great biodiversity of different species. It's a place where you can see other species of monkeys, Birds, plants etc. After Drive back ariving in the evening then dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This day we shall have an Lazy breakfast. Then head to Bwindi National park. Along the way we shall drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park heading south, if lucky will encounter some wildlife and view great landscapes/ Scenery. We will arrive at Bwindi in the afternoon, then rest for the big day after. Dinner and Overnight
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking
Have breakfast then head to the briefing point in the forest, have a briefing then after head to the forest to look for the amazing great apes the Gorillas. This day we cant tell how long you go tracking each day is different experience. When you return maybe in the afternoon, you can have a quiet relaxing afternoon as you reflect on the experience you had, or have a village tour this is optional. Have dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
After a good breakfast we will head out to the next national park Lake Mburo. This remains the smallest savanna national park and has the largest population of antelopes in Uganda. However it also has the Thousands of zebras, Giraffes and some cat families. We will have a night drive in search for nocturnal animals eg. Hyenas, mangoes, Janet cats and leopards. Then Dinner and over night.
Day 6: Drive back to Entebbe
Have a early breakfast, then head for a nature walk in the savana plains. This is a great experience to walk through nature, a feel of being surrounded by the wild not in the car. After this morning walk we will then head back to the lodge for breakfast, there after freshen up and head back/Drive back to Entebbe with lunch enroute
